Day 241Closer to God — 365 Days

A Testimony That Transforms

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 12:11

Part of your calling is kept safe inside your story. In the things you lived through and survived. In the moments when God showed up when no one else did. In the turnarounds you still can't quite explain without mentioning His name.

That's your testimony. And it carries power.

The Greek word for "witness" is the root our word "martyr" comes from — because bearing witness costs something. It opens up a vulnerability. It requires you to tell not just who you are today, but what you've been through.

But stories of how God moved in the dark carry a power that sermons don't. Because someone still in the dark can hear: "I've been there too. And God was with me."

You have a testimony. You might still be in the middle of the story, unable to see how it ends. But even the middle of a story has something valuable to offer someone who's just beginning theirs.

Share what God has done. It's part of the calling.

Prayer

Father, let me never be ashamed of my testimony. Let my story — all of it — be a weapon in Your hands to set others free. Amen.
