Day 213 — Closer to God — 365 Days
The Touch That Heals
“And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”
Matthew 8:3
No one touched the leper. His disease made him untouchable — by law, by culture, by society. He lived on the margins, at a distance, without the warmth of an embrace or a hand reaching out toward him.
And Jesus touched him. Before speaking the word of healing, He reached out His hand and touched him. What was healed first, perhaps, wasn't the skin — it was the heart of a man who was never touched.
There are wounds that need the touch of God — not advice, not a theological explanation, not a memorized verse. Just the touch. The real, warm, close presence of God saying: "You are not alone. I am here."
Let God touch you today. In the place of the wound, in the place of shame, in the place no one else can reach. He stretches out His hand and says: I will; be healed.
Prayer
Jesus, stretch out Your hand over the place in me that needs Your touch the most. Heal what only You can heal. Amen.
