Day 210Closer to God — 365 Days

Restoring What Was Broken

And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations;

Isaiah 58:12a

Ruins are what's left after something collapses. And some of us carry ruins on the inside — from a family that didn't work, from self-esteem shattered by cruel words, from a faith that was shaken by disappointment.

But God speaks of rebuilding — of building again on top of what collapsed. Not erasing the story, but using even the fallen stones as material for a new beginning.

And the promise goes beyond you: "thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations." What God restores in you can break patterns, heal inheritances, and open paths for those who come after. The healing of your heart can be the beginning of something that shapes your family for generations to come.

You are not being healed only for yourself. You are being restored as a turning point in a bigger story.

Prayer

Lord, restore in me what was destroyed. And may this restoration bless not only me, but those who come after. Amen.
