Day 184 — Closer to God — 365 Days
The Healer of the Heart
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
Psalm 147:3
Have you ever felt that pain that doesn't have a proper name? The kind that lives in your chest and doesn't go away with medicine or with time? That's the pain of a broken heart. And maybe today you're carrying it without being able to explain it to anyone around you.
But God knows. He doesn't just see the wound — He knows it from the inside, every layer, every part that hurts. And His word says that He heals. He doesn't ignore it, doesn't just tell you to "be strong" and leave it at that. He heals.
The word "heal" in Hebrew suggests an active kind of care, like a physician who cleans the wound and covers it with tenderness. God doesn't rush past your pain. He sits with you right there in it.
If your heart is broken today, you don't need to pretend you're fine. You can come to Him exactly as you are — broken, weary, without words. The Healer of the heart is ready to care for you.
Prayer
Lord, my heart is wounded and I don't know how to heal myself. But I know that You can. Come to the most painful place in me and heal it with Your hand. Amen.
