Day 173Closer to God — 365 Days

The Prayer of Agreement

If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 18:19

Praying in fellowship is a gift we sometimes underestimate. There's something special that happens when two or more people come together in faith, agreeing on the same request before God.

Jesus promised this directly: when there is agreement — genuine, heartfelt agreement — the Father acts.

This isn't a magic formula. It's a window into the nature of God's kingdom, which operates in community. The faith that grows when you pray with someone else, the mutual encouragement, the testimony of answered prayer that feeds both people's faith.

Do you have a prayer partner? A spiritual companion you can be honest with, who will pray with you and not just for you? If you don't, consider asking God to bring that person into your life.

And if you do, don't let that fellowship go dormant. Praying together is one of the most precious gifts the Lord has given us — don't neglect it.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the gift of praying together. Bring into my life someone I can pray with, so that together we can believe for what has been promised to us. Amen.
