Day 170 — Closer to God — 365 Days
The God Who Answers
“Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”
Isaiah 65:24
This is almost impossible to fit into our human logic. God answering before the request even arrives? Hearing while the words are still being formed?
But that's exactly what Isaiah records. God is not a distant judge who weighs each request before responding. He is a Father who knows His children with such deep intimacy that He anticipates their needs.
This doesn't mean prayer is unnecessary — quite the opposite. Prayer isn't meant to inform God (He already knows everything). Prayer is meant to align us with Him, to open our hearts, to cultivate dependence.
But there is something deeply comforting in knowing that God is already moving before you finish speaking. That while you're still putting the request together, He is already acting. That His love for you is so active it doesn't even wait for the prayer to end.
You can pray today with this certainty: He's already on it.
Prayer
God, what a relief to know You understand me this way. Even before I finish asking, You are already answering. Thank You for Your love that is so active. Amen.
