Day 157 — Closer to God — 365 Days
The Prayer That Moves
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
James 5:16
Have you ever wondered if your prayer really makes a difference? If God truly changes things when you pray?
James says yes. The prayer of a righteous person can do much — and the word "righteous" here isn't about being perfect. It's about being someone who walks with God, who seeks Him with her heart. That's you.
When you pray with fervor — with intention, with faith, with persistence — you're taking part in something that moves the invisible world. Not because you have magic words, but because you're connecting with the One who holds all power.
Elijah was a man with weaknesses just like ours, and yet his prayer shut and opened the heavens. It wasn't Elijah's talent — it was Elijah's God.
Don't underestimate what happens when you close your eyes and speak to the Father. There's no small prayer when it comes from a heart that believes. Your prayer matters. It moves.
Prayer
Lord, increase my faith to believe that my prayer has power. Not because I am special, but because You are powerful. Amen.
