Day 156 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Call Unto Me
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee.”
Jeremiah 33:3
There are times when we don't even know what to ask for anymore. The situation feels too big, the words won't come, and we just sit there, with a weight on our chest, unable to put anything into words.
In moments like these, today's verse is a balm. God isn't asking for an elaborate speech. He's saying: call out. Just call out. Cry out if you need to. Weep if that's what it takes. Come to me just as you are — messy, confused, exhausted — and I will answer.
And the promise is beautiful: He doesn't just answer, He says He will show you great and hidden things you do not know. In other words, God wants to surprise you. He wants to go beyond what you asked for.
So if you're carrying a heavy load today, don't try to organize your prayer. Just call out. Open your heart and let it out. God is on the other side, listening with full attention, ready to answer you with a greatness your imagination can't yet hold.
Prayer
God, I call out to You today. I don't have perfect words, but I have a heart that needs You. Answer me, Lord. Amen.
