Day 15 — Closer to God — 365 Days
In the Middle of the Journey
“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.”
Lamentations 3:22
We've reached the middle of the month. And sometimes the middle is the hardest place to be.
The excitement of the beginning has passed. The end still feels far away. You're in the middle of the process — of recovery, of a project, of change, of waiting. And that's exactly where perseverance is truly tested.
Lamentations was written in the middle of ruin. The city destroyed, the people in captivity, the author at the bottom of his pain. And even so, he found this: the mercies of the Lord never end.
This wasn't a discovery made on a mountain of glory. It's a truth found inside the valley. Sometimes the most beautiful faith is the kind born in the middle — without seeing the end, without understanding the process, but choosing to believe that mercy is still active.
Are you in the middle of something? God is there too. His mercy didn't pause while you were in the valley.
Prayer
Father, I'm in the middle of a journey that hasn't ended yet. Renew my faith today, right here, at this point in the road. May I see Your mercy even in the middle of the waiting. Amen.
