Day 1 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Where God Writes a Comma
“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23
You've made it this far carrying a lot. Maybe a dream that didn't turn out as planned, a relationship that broke apart, a version of yourself you left behind. Maybe you look at the calendar and feel that starting over is more exhausting than staying stuck.
But listen: where you see a period, God is writing a comma.
He doesn't end stories — He continues them. And here's the most beautiful part: the beginning that matters doesn't depend on your strength. It doesn't depend on you feeling upbeat, put together, free of debt and free of scars. It depends on God's faithfulness, which renews itself every morning like the sun that rises without you asking it to.
This morning is new. This day is new. You don't have to carry yesterday to walk through today. Mercy was already poured out before you even opened your eyes.
Let Him write the next chapter. He is the best author there is.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for not giving up on me when I almost give up on myself. You renew all things, and today You renew my hope as well. May I trust in Your faithfulness more than in my own limitations. Amen.
