Is This Really It?

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Proverbs 3:5

I have heard the question that echoes inside you almost every day: is this really what God wants for my life? Doubt creeps in quietly and keeps growing, especially when things don't turn out the way you planned, or when the road gets too hard to feel like the right one.

My son, my daughter, doubt doesn't mean you've strayed off the path. Sometimes it just means you're trying to see too much with your own understanding, when I asked you to trust with your heart. The right path doesn't always feel logical while you're living it. It only makes sense looking back.

Keep taking the steps that make sense today, with the light you have right now. I will keep adjusting the route as you walk. Trust is not having all the answers — it's following even without them.
