I Make All Things New

“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.”

Revelation 21:5

My son, my daughter, look back carefully and with attention: the broken heart from a month ago, the grief you lived through, the betrayal you suffered, the loneliness you felt, the shame you hid — all of it passed through my careful hands in these days gone by. I did not leave anything out of this journey, and I won't pretend now that it was an easy road to walk.

But I make all things new, always, without exception. This is not a poorly patched repair, not a disguise covering pain that is still there. It is true recreation, complete, the kind only the One who made the whole world from nothing knows how to do with mastery. What was broken in you has begun to become something else, stronger than it was, more real than it ever was.

This month was about deep healing and comfort, but true healing does not end on a date marked on the calendar. It continues, layer by layer, slowly, as you walk with me every day. Keep trusting, without giving up. I am not finished yet with the work I began in your wounded heart.
