20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Verse explanation
“Moth and rust” describe the real risks of storing wealth in fabrics and metals in an age without banks — accumulated goods could decay or be stolen over time.
