2The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

Verse explanation
“Habitation” here is a poetic way of saying the people will build a place of worship for this God who saved them; the mention of “my father’s God” ties this to the tradition of the patriarchs.
