Verse explanation
The person here is described in three parts — spirit, soul, and body — but scholars disagree on whether Paul is giving a technical definition of human nature or just piling up words to say ‘your whole self.’ Either way, the central request is clear: that all of this be kept whole and blameless until Christ’s coming.
