Verse explanation
Saying that “charity shall cover the multitude of sins” — charity here meaning love, not almsgiving — doesn’t mean love cheerfully erases guilt, but that it has the practical effect of producing forgiveness and patience within the community, keeping small offenses from piling up into bigger conflicts.
