Day 6 — Healing for the Heart
When Words Fail
“The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought... but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
Romans 8:26
There are pains so deep that we can't even pray properly. You kneel down, open your mouth, and nothing comes out — just a tightness in your chest, a sigh, a silence. Maybe you think that without words, God doesn't hear you. It's the opposite. When you don't know what to say, God's own Spirit prays for you, translating before the Father what your heart cannot put into words. Your sigh is heard. Your groan is understood. Your tears, even silent ones, reach heaven as prayer. You don't need pretty words or the right phrases to speak with God. Today, if all you have is a "Lord…" caught in your throat, that is enough. He understands the rest. Where your words run out, His care carries you through.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, when I don't know what to say, pray for me. Receive my silence and my groaning as prayer. I trust that You understand me. Amen.
