Day 32 — Healing for the Heart
Truly Free
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
John 8:36
There's a kind of prison with no bars: the hurt that won't let go, the guilt that won't pass, the memory that keeps you captive. We grow so used to that captivity that we forget we were made for freedom. But Jesus came for exactly this — to open doors you can't open on your own. The freedom He offers isn't pretending you were never hurt; it's no longer being a slave to what hurt you. There's a difference between the cell door being open and you walking out of it. Jesus has already opened the door; today's invitation is to take a step outside. You don't have to live forever in the pain that locked you in. His freedom is real, it's complete, it's 'true freedom.' Today, choose to believe you're not condemned to your worst chapter. Where He sets free, the chain truly falls.
Prayer
Jesus, I'm tired of living chained to what hurt me. Truly set my heart free. I want to walk out of this prison and live in the freedom only You give. Amen.
