Day 1 — A Man After God's Own Heart
Made in God's Image
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Genesis 1.27
Before any title you carry — father, husband, provider, boss, son — there's a deeper truth holding up all the others: you were made in the image of God. You weren't a genetic accident, not a miscalculation, not an extra part. God looked at what He was about to create and chose to shape you after Himself — able to love, to create, to decide, to care. That's the root of your manhood, long before the world ever tries to teach you what being a man means. Maybe you grew up hearing that a man's worth is measured in strength, in money, in how many times he didn't cry. Forget that crooked ruler. Your worth comes from being made in the image of the One who is love, justice, and strength all at once. Over the next thirty days you'll look closely at several areas of a man's life — work, family, fear, temptation, friendship. None of it will make sense, though, if you don't start here: you are the image of God, and that alone gives you worth before you've done a single thing. Begin this journey resting in that truth.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for making me in Your image. Before any achievement, help me rest in who You've already said I am. Shape in me the man You dreamed of from the beginning. Amen.
