Day 94 — Closer to God — 365 Days
The Courage That Comes From Within
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Joshua 1:9
Joshua had just received an impossible task: leading an entire nation into unknown territory. And God didn't say, "go, everything is fine." He said: be strong. Be of good courage. In other words, it will take strength — but I am with you.
This speaks directly to your life. Maybe you're facing something that feels too big: a change, a decision, a responsibility that weighs heavy. And God isn't promising it will be easy. He's promising He won't abandon you along the way.
True courage isn't the absence of fear. It's taking the next step even with a trembling heart, because you know God goes ahead, stays by your side, and covers your back.
You don't need to see the whole path. You need to trust the One who knows it completely. And trusting is, many times, the most courageous act of faith there is.
Prayer
Father, give me courage to take the next step, even when I cannot see the whole path. I trust You. Amen.
