You Are Not Your Family of Origin

“Behold, I make all things new.”

Revelation 21:5

Maybe you grew up watching anxiety run loose at home — a father who always feared the worst, a mother who could never settle, a whole family living on high alert. And today you notice the same patterns repeating in you, almost automatic, as if you'd inherited the fear along with your eyes or your smile.

My son, my daughter, what came before you doesn't have to define what continues after you. I am the God who makes all things new, including the invisible inheritances no one chose to carry. You can be the one who breaks the cycle — not by your own strength, but because you learned to run to me instead of repeating the old pattern.

Today, recognize the pattern without guilt, and choose a new path with me. You are not bound to fear the way you learned to fear. In me, a different story begins — for you, and for those who come after you.
