The Work That Hasn't Worked Out Yet

“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.”

I saw the doors that closed. The interview that didn't work out, the project that never took off the way you dreamed it would, the boss who never recognized your effort or your extra push. You've started to think that maybe you're not cut out for what you dream of doing, that maybe you aimed too high for what you're really capable of.

But I don't measure your worth by the position you hold or the salary you take home at the end of the month. I look at the faithfulness of someone who does today's little bit with a whole heart, without looking for shortcuts. Starting over in your career is sometimes exactly that: doing well what's in your hand right now, even without yet understanding the reason or the greater purpose behind it.

I waste no season of your life, not even this one that feels lost. What looks like delay can be quiet preparation. Keep planting with excellence, even in the field that looks barren — I take care of the harvest, and its proper time, which usually comes when least expected.
