My son, my daughter, I know how hard it is to hold back the sharp reply when someone provokes you, to swallow the cutting remark when anger rises fast. Persevering in character, day after day, often comes down to winning small battles with your own mouth.

Every word you hold back, every calm response chosen instead of the outburst, is a quiet victory that no one applauds, but that shapes who you're becoming.
