The Work No One Praises

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”

Colossians 3:23

My son, My daughter, I know your work, the kind no one really notices: the spreadsheet checked twice, the rude customer served with patience, the repetitive task done with care when no one would notice the difference. Maybe your boss never says thank you, maybe the credit goes to someone else.

But I want you to look at your work differently: not as a service to please people, but as an offering to Me. When you do everything heartily, even what seems small and invisible, you are serving Me directly, and I see every detail that others overlook.

Don't lose heart if recognition doesn't come the way it should. Keep working with excellence and integrity, knowing that your true Employer is watching, and the reward I give doesn't depend on anyone's praise down here.
