Caring Without Being Completely Drained

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28

Come here, My son, My daughter. I see you going back and forth from the hospital, changing the diaper of someone who once changed yours, postponing your own life to care for someone you love. That care is beautiful in My eyes, but I know the exhaustion it carries, and I don't want you to hide it from Me.

Caring for someone sick or elderly is a quiet, powerful form of faithfulness, the kind no one applauds, but that I watch with special attention. At the same time, I did not ask you to destroy yourself caring; I asked you to persevere with wisdom, accepting help when it comes, resting when you can.

Don't carry this journey as if it depended on you alone. I am in the hospital hallways with you, in the sleepless nights, in the bath you give with so much love. Keep being faithful, but let Me also care for the one who cares. You are not alone in this.
