Grateful for Those Who Stayed

“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

Proverbs 17:17

Today I want to talk about the people who stayed. Not everyone who passed through your life remained, and that has already hurt you plenty on other days — but today I want to turn your gaze toward those who remained, who called you during the hard week, who sat beside you without asking for an explanation.

These people are no accident. I placed them strategically in your story, knowing the days of distress that were coming. A true friend is born precisely for the hard hour, not only for the celebration. If you have one, two, three people like that, you're richer than you realize.

Today, send a message of thanks to someone who stayed. Don't wait for a special reason. Gratitude that is expressed strengthens the bond, and a strengthened bond is one of the greatest gifts I give to those who walk with me.
