Content in Today's Work

“And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.”

Ecclesiastes 3:13

My son, my daughter, I know this isn't the job of your dreams. It might be tiring, poorly paid, far from what you studied to do. And even so I call you to enjoy the good of it, because even that is a gift I give.

Contentment at work doesn't mean you stop looking for something better. It means not despising the bread this job puts on your table today, the roof it helps you pay for, the dignity it gives you while the bigger door hasn't opened yet. Many people despised the bottom step and because of that never learned to climb with gratitude.

I see the effort you put in, even when no one else notices. Work today as one working for Me, and let Me take care of the next steps of your career. Contentment in your present work is fertile ground for future promotions.
