When the Body Weeps Too

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5

I know that today your body feels heavier than usual. The physical pain and the exhaustion that doesn't go away even after a full night's sleep, that has already become a difficult routine to explain to those who don't feel it. No one sees the effort it takes just to get up, to shower, to carry on with the day while bearing this weight inside your bones and joints.

I am not indifferent to what hurts in your body, far from it. I myself put on flesh, felt real exhaustion, felt hunger, felt the concrete pain of being wounded in the skin. I understand this kind of suffering because I carried it too, it isn't theory to Me. You are not exaggerating, you are not being weak for saying it hurts.

I don't promise that every pain will vanish by tomorrow morning, that isn't something I control the way you'd like. I promise to be right here, holding on together with you, every day this struggle lasts, without letting go of your hand. And where healing is possible, I work toward it; where it isn't yet, I sustain your strength to make it through one more day.

Declare today

I choose to rest in the Father even when my body hurts, knowing He carries this weight with me.

Pray

Father, my body is tired and aching. Thank You for understanding this pain up close. Give me strength for today.

📓 Something to think about today

How have I been treating my tired body lately: with patience or with pressure?
