The grace that sustains to the end

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

1 Peter 5:10

We've come to the end of a whole month talking about a love that never gives up, and I want to close with the most important promise of all: the grace that reached you at the start will not abandon you before the finish. I am the God of ALL grace — not just the grace of the beginning, but the grace that sustains you all the way to the finish line.

You'll go through a little more suffering in this life, because no one escapes that while walking on earth. But notice what comes after the suffering in the promise: I myself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. I don't leave the work half done. I finish what I start in you.

So if you've made it this far carrying some pain, some fresh start, some doubt about whether you'll be able to keep going — rest. The same grace that brought you to today is the one that will carry you into eternity. My love doesn't quit halfway. It never has, and it never will.
