Everyone Left, But I Stay

People have moved to new cities, moved into new seasons of life, shifted their priorities without really telling you. The group chats that used to be full of conversation and laughter are quiet now, sometimes for weeks at a time. You feel a loneliness that aches even when you're surrounded by people — at work, with family, on social media full of contacts.

I saw every friendship that cooled little by little, every invitation that quietly stopped coming. And I want to tell you something that never changes, no matter how many people pass through your life: I am not like the people who come and go as it suits them. I don't leave you because a season changes, or because of distance, or because time passes.

Starting over in loneliness doesn't mean pretending it doesn't hurt, swallowing the feeling. It means letting my presence fill the space while true new friendships are being built, in their own time, without forcing anything. I am already preparing new people to cross your path. Until they arrive, you are not alone — I am right here, the whole time.
